Aboriginal NRM in WA

Aboriginal people have nurtured and managed the natural resources of Australia for thousands of years and have strong spiritual, social and cultural connections to the land.

The State NRM Program recognises and values these connections.

This website section aims to provide links to Aboriginal groups and people working in NRM, resources that relate directly to Aboriginal involvement in NRM, stories, news and events.

The State NRM Program supports projects that utilise Traditional Ecological Knowledge and skills and those that actively engage the Aboriginal community in protecting and conserving the environment whilst providing education, training, employment and business opportunities based around natural resource management.
