Noongar Stories from Forrestdale Lake
In a new Perth Region NRM film, Noongar elders Vivienne and Mort Hansen share their stories about how Noongar people once relied on the wetlands for food, water and shelter.
Filmed at Lake Forrestdale in the City of Armadale, the lake is a shallow, seasonal lake of approximately 220 hectares, situated 25 km southeast of Perth.
The largest in Perth's south metropolitan region, the lake is a wetland of national importance and a Ramsar Convention wetland of international importance.
