    Community projects receive $2.94 million

    One hundred and twenty applications were received from community groups of which ninety-two were successful with funding totaling $2.94 million from the State Government.  These projects are designed to protect and enhance local natural assets.

    Strategic priority projects receive $15.5 million

    Twenty vital Natural Resource Management (NRM) projects including schemes to protect key waterways, safeguard critically endangered flora and fauna and control feral animals will receive a $15.5 million injection from the State Government.

    The Western Australian Environment Awards acknowledge, reward and recognise the businesses, government agencies, community groups and individuals who make a valuable contribution to protecting and conserving the State's natural environment.

    Coastwest grants Applications NOW OPEN

    The State Government has launched the 2012-13 round of Coastwest grants making $500 000 available for the preservation of Western Australia's coastline. Applicants can apply for up to $150 000 per project.

    The State Government has pledged $3 million towards Natural Resource Management grants for community groups to undertake important environmental projects.

    $1.53 million in grants is available to individuals, local community groups or organisations and local authorities to undertake projects that have environmental benefits.
