'Fern Road East' is the name the Wilson Wetland Action Group has given to a piece of land within the Canning River Regional Park in the vicinity of Wilson wetlands and bushland.

The land is in poor condition-grassy and weedy with few indigenous species. However, it is bordered by a lagoon and bushland in very good condition, and by a busy walk-cycle path.

With the help of State NRM Program funding, this project aims to revegetate the land with local species, linking vegetation fringing the lagoon to adjacent bushland. Forage and habitat available for local fauna and invertebrates will be increased as a result. The amenity of the park for community members and users of the walk-cycle path will also be improved.

The work will be carried out over three stages. This project is stage 1.
