With the help of State NRM Program funding, this project will control watsonia infestations in bushland around the town site of Narrikup. The aim is to protect rare flora (including Conostylis misera) in nearby reserves that are under threat from the weed.

Recent controlled burning around the town site has stimulated watsonia germination. The chemical 2,2 DPA, a substance that will control watsonia without affecting most native plants, will be used to treat an area of 30 ha throughout 175 ha of bushland.

    Investment: $ 10 000
Delivery organisation: Wilson Inlet Catchment Committee
    Project duration: August 2011 - December 2012
    Location: Narrikup
