'Fern Road East' is the name the Wilson Wetland Action Group has given to a piece of land within the Canning River Regional Park in the vicinity of Wilson wetlands and bushland. The land is in poor condition, being grassy and weedy with few indigenous species, however it is bordered by a lagoon and bushland in very good condition, and by a busy walk/cycle path.

Over three stages, of which this project is Stage 2, this project aims to revegetate the land with local species, linking vegetation fringing the lagoon to plants established in Stage 1 of the project. Forage and habitat available for local fauna and invertebrates will be increased as a result as will amenity of the park for community members and users of the walk/cycle path.

    Investment: $ 22 700
Delivery organisation: Wilson Wetlands Action Group Inc
    Project duration: April 2012 - December 2014
Location: Canning River Regional Park in Wilson
