This project will implement priority management actions identified in river action plans developed by the Cape to Cape Catchments Group. Management actions will be undertaken on streams where more than 30 per cent of the foreshore has been assessed as either A grade (pristine) or B grade (weedy).

Activity will focus on four priority catchments within the Cape to Cape region:

  • Margaret River
  • Cowaramup Brook
  • Ellen Brook
  • Boodjidup Brook.

Management actions will include:

  • fencing waterways from stock access
  • controlling environmental weeds in riparian vegetation
  • revegetating stream banks, wetland and dams

In addition, the project seeks to promote waterway management to landholders with two field trips.

Investment: $ 50 000
Delivery organisation: Cape To Cape Catchments Group
Project duration: May 2012 - September 2013
Location: Margaret River, Cowaramup Brook, Ellen Brook and Boodjidup Brook
