Twertup Field Studies Centre is located in the Fitzgerald River National Park, part of the UNESCO-listed Fitzgerald Biosphere Reserve.

Formally a house for quarry workers, it was used from the 1980s to 2008 as a base for environmental activities by the Department of Environment and Conservation, the Friends of Fitzgerald River National Park and other organisations. In 2008 it was significantly damaged in fires.

This project aims to restore the house so it can again be used as a base for environmental activities.
