This project aims to reduce nutrients entering Gynudup Brook and Tren Creek in the Geographe Bay catchment by protecting them from grazing.

A River Action Plan for was developed in for the waterways in 2004. Landholders who have had limited contact with GeoCatch since the plan was developed will be asked to participate in activities of this project which include:

    • reassessment of riverbank foreshore condition to identify current priorities
    • installation of 6km fencing to exclude stock from foreshore areas
    • installation of four off-stream sock water points

These actions are also expected to allow natural regeneration of native vegetation to occur.

    Investment: $ 34 000
Delivery organisation: Geographe Catchment Council Inc (GeoCatch)
    Project duration: January 2013 - June 2014
