This project will continue to enhance foreshore restoration work at four sites on the Canning River. These sites are:

    • Canning River Foreshore at Nicholson Rd, Langford
    • Yule Brook and Canning River Foreshore, Beckenham
    • Canning River Foreshore at Goolamrup Reserve, Kelmscott

Weed control will occur over 21 hectares in total to allow natural regeneration and the continued establishment of previously planted native vegetation. A further 15 000 native seedlings will also be planted.

The overall aim of this work is to improve the ecological corridor that the Canning River represents between the Darling Scarp and Swan Coastal Plain.

The project will also support existing community groups to improve their section of the Canning River.
