13056: Control of outlier infestations of strategically important Weeds of National Significance

This project aims to eradicate Mesquite and Parkinsonia on Billabalong Station, east-north-east of Geraldton in the mid-west.

Billabalong Station is the southernmost infestation of Mesquite and Parkinsonia in Western Australia. Control of the weeds would eliminate a significant outlier population before it becomes widespread and established.

Contract weed controllers will use basal bark application of herbicide in works as identified in the Mesquite and Parkinsonia Best Practice Management documents.

    Investment: $ 50 000
Delivery organisation: Murchison Land Conservation District Committee
    Project duration: June 2014 - December 2014
    Location: Billabalong Station in Mullewa
