    13081: Restoring Govie Dam and Mondurup Reserve

    Govie Dam and Mondurup Reserve, near the town-site of Mount Barker, provide valuable habitat for local plants and animals.

    Both reserves are popular with visitors and are used by Mt Barker Community College as an environmental education resource.

    This project aims to restore and protect the natural vegetation of these reserves by removing invasive weeds including:

    • Blackberry
    • Bridal creeper
    • Watsonia
    • Eastern States Wattles

    Boot cleaning stations and informative signage will also be installed at the reserves to help stop the spread of dieback.
