13086: Continuing to sustainably manage catchments surrounding Dumbleyung Lake
This project is a continuation of previous project 12075. It will continue on-ground works that contribute to the sustainable management of farm land in the Lake Dumbleyung catchment.
The aim of this work is to protect waterways from livestock, reduce water and wind erosion and improve habitat for native plants and animals.
Five landholders in the catchment will receive funding to assist in the construction of eight kilometres of stock-proof fencing, and revegetation of more than 20 hectares of degraded farmland.
Local Landcare officers will support participating landholders by providing:
- advice on revegetation
- project planning advice
- access to equipment
- advice on monitoring and maintenance programs.
