14094: A pilot of the Dairy Australia Fert$mart Project in Geographe Catchment

Dairy farms in the Geographe catchment are a major source of nutrients, contributing around 50 per cent of phosphorous and 70 per cent of nitrogen to the Vasse Wonnerup Wetlands. This project will improve water quality and value-add to previous investments in improving fertiliser management in the Geographe Catchment by piloting Dairy Australia's national Fert$mart program in Western Australia. Fert$mart is the Australian dairy industry's national nutrient management framework, developed to improve the efficiency of fertiliser use on Australian dairy farms and reduce impacts to the environment through nutrient losses.
