14097: Protection and enhancement of biodiversity in Yoongarillup Reserve

Vegetation within the 27ha Yoongarillup Reserve is considered a Threatened Ecological Community and contains some of the last remaining Abba (Aw and Af) vegetation complex. Located on the heavy Pinjarra Plain soil of the Swan Coastal Plain, the reserve provides one of very few insights into the vegetation on this soil type prior to extensive clearing.

This project will protect and improve the biodiversity values of the Yoongarillup Reserve by undertaking an integrated and collaborative biodiversity project including weed and feral animal control, dieback management and strategic revegetation with local provenance seed.
