14135: Forrestdale Lake community fencing, signage and guided public walks project

The Forrestdale Lake Nature Reserve is a valuable place for the local community to undertake nature appreciation and passive recreation. This project aims to protect the natural values of the Lake by protecting sensitive areas from vehicle access and educating the community on the Lakes environment and how vehicles impact native animals such as red capped plovers and oblong tortoises. 350 meters of the lake will be fenced to prevent vehicle access and two educational signs will be installed to explain the measure. Education events will be held for the local community to raise awareness of the Lake's environment, and educational materials will be developed for local schools.
