The town site of Westonia is surrounded by reserves known collectively as the Westonia Common. The Common is a valuable area of remnant vegetation with high biodiversity value that adds uniqueness to this largely cleared Wheatbelt Shire.

This project aims to complete conservation management plan for the Westonia Common. The plan will clearly identify the risks to this significant environmental asset and provide strategies to manage these. The plan will bring together various stakeholders, activities and strategies into one cohesive document and provide clear policy recommendations to the Shire.
