14150: Restoration and habitat protection for endangered fauna
Three conservation reserves at Murdoch University's South Street campus are situated within the Beeliar Regional Park; two are conservation-category wetlands and the third is banksia woodland.
Building on existing biodiversity protection works for the endangered Carnaby's Black Cockatoos, and the threatened Forest Red-tailed Black Cockatoos, this project aims to conserve, restore and expand key feeding, breeding and roosting habitat for the cockatoos through a range of activities including weed eradication and revegetation and maintenance of cockatoo nest tubes.
