14162: Protecting and enhancing the Moore River biodiversity assets
The Moore River is an iconic natural and cultural asset that needs protecting for the future. The majority of remnant vegetation, creeks and rivers in the Moore River catchment are located on private agricultural land.
This project will provide financial assistance to landholders in the upper Moore River catchment to fence and revegetate sections of River, and protect and connect areas of remnant native vegetation.
Educational events will be held to ensure landholders and community are better informed of the importance of native vegetation on the farm for both biodiversity and productivity.
