14166: Ongoing control of isolated populations of highly invasive environmental weeds

This project builds on a history of species-specific invasive weed control the Warren Catchments Council area. This group have coordinated several weed control projects, principally targeting isolated populations of highly invasive environmental weeds, and to date these populations have been successfully reduced or contained.

This project will ensure that residual infestations will not flourish and devalue previous work. The group will also commence control work on a new weed to WA Kunzea ericoides, which appears to be restricted to two small areas. The full distribution of the weed will be identified with the aim of eradication before it becomes a bigger and more costly problem.
