14192: Enabling Indigenous women’s knowledge in ESRM planning and implementation
This project will build the capacity of Aboriginal women to engage in land management and conservation work in the Wiluna region by enabling them to participate in the development and implementation of an Ecologically Sustainable Rangelands Management (ESRM) plan for Windida Station and surrounding Unallocated Crown Land.
Their engagement at the 'ground level' of planning and implementation will ensure their ongoing ability and commitment to delivering NRM outcomes in the Wiluna region. Aboriginal Women, and particularly their skills and knowledge, are often under-represented in these plans and resulting management regimes.
