15023: Creating a biodiversity link in Chittering Springs

Biodiverse revegetation of degraded farmland in the Chittering Springs land development area has been achieved by the planting of over 7,500 plants in .07 of one hectare.

This will assist with protection of the Rocky Creek catchment, prevent nutrient export by erosion, and will provide a habitat corridor between previous revegetation and a large remnant vegetation area.

    Investment: $ 6 000
    In-kind contribution: $ 6 000
Delivery organisation: Chittering Valley Land Conservation District Committee
    Project duration: July 2016 - October 2016
Location: Corner of Maddern Road South and Wisteria Way, Chittering
