A four month trial was conducted into the effectiveness of targeted cat control around threatened species populations (bilby and great desert skink) on the Kiwirrkurra Indigenous Protected Area. Kiwirrkurra people are expert hunters who still regularly hunt feral cats for food. This project built on these skills through monthly targeted hunting campaigns, complemented by the use of trapping methods.
