15074: Marine species protection at the Carnarvon One Mile Jetty
The Carnarvon One Mile Jetty is essentially a viewing
platform for the mangrove wetlands, the Gascoyne River mouth and
the coastal shoreline of Shark Bay. No signage is currently in
place on the jetty for the species of the area.
Signage would educate the public and so help to protect the species and the habitat but also add value to the attractions of the site thereby improving the sustainability for the long term management of the Carnarvon Heritage Precinct as an educational, recreational and cultural resource.
