15181: Wetland and Biodiversity Restoration -FtS Gondwana Link - 2016
The Green Skills 'Wetland & Biodiversity Restoration in the Forest to Stirlings- Gondwana Link - 2016 ' program planned four integrated NRM projects to deliver significant biodiversity outcomes in Gondwana Link's Forest to Stirlings (Cranbrook area). These addressed the critical threats to biodiversity from feral animals, loss of proteaceous vegetation, fragmentation, and barriers to fauna movement in this section of Gondwana Link.

Major project achievements
Project 1 delivered 38 ha of biodiverse revegetation (primarily direct seeding supplemented by Banksia attenuata, a variety of proteaceous and other seedlings) in bushland and wetland buffers on the Sandiland property near Kendenup.
Project 2 erected 1.602 km of fencing around a 14ha of revegetation area on the Sandiland property, Kendenup. A further 5 km of bushland fencing around 64 ha of priority bushland on the Slade farm near Kendenup was also be carried out.
Project 3 saw the installation and planting of 6 floating islands on five wetlands on five properties The islands have been designed to provide breeding and roosting habitat to waterbirds.
Project 4 delivered and strategically installed a further 12 Wallaby Gates on fenced remnant bushland on the Sandiland, Hitchins and Slade farms in the Gillamii Landcare area, assisting conservation of the conservation target species: Brush Wallaby (Macropus irma).
