15725: Road and Railway Safety Qualifications for Aboriginal Rangers

This project aims to have 10 Aboriginal Rangers obtain accredited road and railway safety qualifications so that they can undertake important caring for country work within the State's road and rail reserves. Senior Rangers will also undertake important supervisory training, so they have a detailed understanding of OHS requirements and their own personal responsibilities and accountabilities. This training would facilitate a more extensive partnership with DPAW, Main Roads and private enterprise, allowing greater involvement of Aboriginal Rangers in caring for country work on these reserves.
